This was a favorite walking area near where I lived high in the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado.  This small quaint road I walked was an old overgrown passage of some kind that was no longer used. It was secluded and took me right along the Animas River. On this particular morning my walk included an added surprise, as it had unexpectedly snowed the night before adding a thin blanket of white over the Fall colors still very vibrant. I loved the contrast of the seasons and the changes taking place. I was thrilled to capture the beauty of it.
