This is a palette knife painting with a lot of texture.
 
This image is from a combination of photos I took up in the SanJuan Islands along with my memory of being there surrounded by the water and the glorious colors of the light as it set or rose. The reflections literally stirred my heart, it was so beautiful. I was staying on a yacht, so I was in the perfect place to capture the other boats and all the various lighting conditons along with the corresponding reflections. I was truly in heaven.
