This is from the back side of Smith Rock. There's so many fabulous trail options in the park and one of my favorites is the big loop which goes up and over the top and down the other side. As you descend the trail after passing the Monkey Face Spire on the back side, you have this view of the Crooked River, more rocky spires that are so prevalent, and a view of the Cascades out in the distance to the west. No matter what time of year, it's absolutely beautiful but so nice in the spring with the new vibrant green in contrast to the more neutral colors of the earth and rock.
