Smith Rock State Park Series
These paintings are from Smith Rock State Park here in central Oregon. Smith Rock is an internationally known climbing area and an amazing area to hike year-round. The immense walls of rock are simply breathtaking with their myriad of hues and textures, let alone how one’s imagination can see all kinds of animals and figures in these massive boulders and rocky outcroppings.
Upon hiking some of the higher trails you get an expansive view of central Oregon with the Cascade mountain range in the distance to the west and the beautiful local countryside sprawling out and around the park.
