July Update!

Hi everyone, the summer is definitely underway, and literally heating up! Lots going on with shows and opportunities to create and show new work. I just got done showing out at the first Sisters Folk Festival's Summer of Music event. A rather steamy evening but a great crowd, an unexpected opportunity to show some of my work and the music was wonderful.

I also joined the #PleinAirPaintersofOregon recently and have now painted with them several times out at #BlackButteRanch just outside of Sisters, Oregon, a beautiful location east of the Cascades for those of you that are not familiar with this area. We have a show going on right now and running through the month of July in the Black Butte Ranch lodge, so if you are in the area drop by and check it out, there are about 28 paintings on display which are all from the Black Butte Ranch property. We are also doing a Plein Air Paint Out event Friday July 9th on the grounds of Black Butte Ranch which will have us painting in the morning with an auction and sale in the later afternoon about 4:00. It is open to the public to come see us paint and be apart of the afternoon festivities.

Sunday July 11th I will be out once again at #FaithHopeCharity Vineyards showing my work. I decided for this show I would focus on water paintings. It's always lovely out there, such a gorgeous property with an outstanding view of the mountains, their beautifully landscaped gardens, and right now their vines are thriving so the vineyard in flourishing. The show opens at noon and runs until 4:00, so come enjoy the day with us and take in some art and other handcrafted items, and maybe even a glass of wine.

Just a reminder, if you are interested in a new piece for your collection or wish to purchase your first piece, please contact me if you can't make a show as you can always make an appointment to see the work or talk to me regarding what you may be looking for. Many of my original paintings can also be ordered as a Giclee print though I do have small digital prints available as well.

I am hoping that by next year I can begin teaching again, I need to connect with a location to do that. So if you have interest in taking a class or know of a good location to hold classes, please let me know so I can begin making a list of interested students. I want to get a count of how much interest is out there so I can plan accordingly. I may figure out one of these days an online approach but as yet have not looked into it. I know I need to keep up with these times and more and more people are moving in that direction. Not sure how well that works for art but I guess it must as there are plenty doing just that. I'm still old school and in-person seems like the only way to go.

Thanks so much for staying tuned in with me and I look forward to connecting with you so drop me a line, or come say hi. . . All the best to you, and have a fabulous summer, stay cool!
