All of my pieces are one of a kind, they are often painted intuitively, allowing images to come forth as I work the surface, working initially with shapes and color, which can be fairly abstract at the start. I will frequently turn the paper or panel as I develop the surface until I begin to see images that I recognize or am drawn to which appear on their own during this process. Once those images appear I will begin to hone in and develop the painting from that angle. There are times when I will begin with a slight idea or feeling I want to head towards but this is usually less common. I love the process working with my intuition in this manner and I am constantly enthralled by the images that appear without me knowingly putting them there; I find this process absolutely fascinating and at times profound.
